Congratulations to you, new mushroom farmer! Below you will find some useful information on how to care for your new log.

PSA: Just because your log has grown a mushroom, please make sure you still correctly identify it before consuming. If you have any doubt about your mushrooms, please send us a picture here

Note on log soaking:

Soaking a log overnight when you bring it home from market is a nice way to get the log off to a good start to make sure it has enough moisture, as its been at market, in your car, etc. However, excessive soaking can encourage competitive wild fungi to outcompete the strain we have inoculated your log with.
