Ganoderma tsugae, or the Reishi mushroom has been called the "mushroom of immortality" and grows abundantly right here in Western North Carolina. Join us for an adventure and learn more about this beloved mushroom. We will traverse a few creeks and streams as hemlocks like to grow in steep ravines with swift moving water, so if you have limited mobility this may not be the best foray to join us on. Reishi grows on old hemlocks, often near streams with large boulders. Please wear good footwear for hiking, and bring a backpack, water, and your sense of adventure!

We will  be meeting within 45 minutes of Downtown Asheville, and will send out directions a few days beforehand.

Please give yourself adequate time to get to our destination, as we start promptly at the class time.
